Adinath's next movie 'Ved Lagi Jeeva' was directed by his father Mahesh Kothare in the year 2010 which earned him a nomination in the 'Best Actor' category at ' Zee Gaurav Puraskar'. He made his acting debut as a child actor in the 1994 hit film 'Majha Chakula' which garnered him several accolades, including the Maharashtra State Film Awards for 'Best Child Actor'. His father Mahesh Kothare is renowned film director of Marathi film industry.
His directorial debut film ' Paani' won the national award for ' National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation' at the 66th National Film Awards and has also won him the 'Best Actor' award at the New York Indian Film Festival.
